This past weekend the Denver area experienced its first taste of severe winter weather with almost a foot of snowfall and plummeting temperatures. Conditions were deplorable for those without adequate housing and clothing.
In response to the winter storm last weekend, St. Rafka Apostolate of Hope and Me
rcy, along with Interstate
Roofing were able to deliver durable winter goods to the needy which included: jackets, blankets, wool socks, hats and gloves along with food to the many in need of such help.
Father Andre wishes to express his deepest thanks and appreciation to Mr. Scott Riopelle, President of Interstate Roofing for his personal help and use of Interstate Roofing vehicles to deliver these much needed goods. Without the help of Mr. Riopelle and Interstate Roofing this task would have been much more difficult.
The remaining inventory of donated winter clothes was distributed to Treasure House of Hope, Inc. Their Mission Statement is, “Pulling treasures out of darkness through love, compassion and hope. Training individuals to live a disciplined lifestyle based on biblical teachings.”
